Tails and the GNOME desktop include assistive technologies to support userswith various impairments and special needs, and to interact with commonassistive devices.
You can activate most of these technologies from the universal access menu (theicon which looks like a person) in the top bar:
Mac OS X: How to Use Universal Access Panel People use mostly keyboards, mouse or trackpad to navigate through the commands, however, if a user has any difficulty seeing, hearing or using these three elements, they may use OS X’s comprehensive set of accessibility features, that make Mac easier to use. Chose Apple menu System Preferences, and click Universal Access. (Alternatively, click on the System Preferences icon in the dock.) Click on the Seeing tab. Check the radio button labeled On in the VoiceOver section (Figure 1). Anyone having this problem on a Mac where you can't bring up shift-tab on a Mac; and you have enabled assistive devices. If you restart steam and can run TF2 without Steam warning you about the in game community being disabled; and it is enabled in the properties for the game.

Turning Off VoiceOver To turn off VoiceOver, check the Off radio button in the VoiceOver section of the Universal Access system preferences or by pressing Command + F5. VoiceOver Options. VoiceOver is highly configurable. You may access the VoiceOver options from the Seeing tab of the Universal Access system preferences (Figure 4). Replay is a video recording feature for Team Fortress 2 servers allowing clients to download and edit video footage of their previous life after they die. To access the universal access menu using the keyboard:
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Tab to move the keyboardfocus to the top bar.
- Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the universal accessmenu.
- Press to open the menu.
- Use the up and down arrow keys to select items inthe menu.
- Press to toggle the selecteditem.
- Press to close the menu.
To hear screen elements spoken to you, you can activate theScreen Reader accessibility feature.

The screen reader takes around 10 seconds to start.
The screen reader does not work with the UnsafeBrowser.
If you prefer a pointing device over the keyboard, you can activate theScreen Keyboard accessibility feature.

If you are operating a computer one-handed (by joystick, touchscreen,or mouse) or zero-handed (by head-mouse or eyetracker), you can use the Dasher graphical predictive textentry application.
Dasher is available fromApplications ▸ Universal Access ▸ Dasher.

Part of Apple's Universal Access software, the
EasyAccess
control panel provides tools to make Mac OSmore accessible to users who have difficulty using the mouse orkeyboard. To install it, follow these steps:- Insert your Software Install CD and double-click the
CD Extras
folder within. - Double-click the
Universal Access
folder. - Drag the Easy Access control panel to yourclosedSystem Folder.
- Click OK when the system asks to put Easy Access into the
Control Panels
folder. - Restart your computer.
Easy Access provides three basic features:
Mouse Keys
The Mouse Keys function allows you to click, double-click, resize awindow, drag, and perform other mouse actions using the numeric keypadon the right side of the keyboard. Following is a list of the numerickeypad keys and their functions:

To turn on the Mouse Keys function, press
Cmd-Shift-Clear
. To turn Mouse Keys off, pressthe Clear
key on the numeric keypad. The EasyAccess
control panel also lets you turn Mouse Keys on and off,adjust the speed of the pointer's movement, and adjust the length ofthe delay before the pointer moves.Universal Access Telecom
Slow Keys
Slow Keys changes the sensitivity of the keyboard by creating a delaybetween acceptable keystrokes. With this feature enabled, yourkeyboard will accept the first keystroke, and then wait anywhere froma split second to a few seconds before it accepts the next keystroke,ignoring any typing in between.
To turn Slow Keys on or off, hold the
Return
key for fourseconds, until an alert sound notifies you that the feature has beentoggled.You can change the settings for Slow Keys in the
EasyAccess
control panel. In addition to turning Slow Keys on andoff, the control panel lets you adjust the delay between acceptedkeystrokes. You can also set Slow Keys to produce an audible clickwhenever a keystroke is accepted.Sticky Keys
Sticky Keys allows you to type keyboard shortcuts (e.g.,
Cmd-s
for save, or Cmd-p
to print) withoutpressing more than one key at a time. With Sticky Keys active, youcan type a keyboard shortcut by first pressing the modifierkey (Cmd
, Ctrl
, or Shift
), andthen pressing the character key. An icon at the extreme right of themenu bar at the top of the screen changes to indicate whether StickyKeys is on and whether a modifier key has been pressed or locked.To turn Sticky Keys on or off, press the
Shift
